The Unofficial Apple Weblog reports that the PS3 could run on OS X. From that they conclude that Sony may use OSX as the platform for the PS3. Hohum... the post is based on a comment made elsewhere that the cell chips could run OSX. On the other hand, the way the chips have een designed, I wouldn't be surprised if they could also run OS2.

Take: Im calling this shoddy reporting for the time being. I wouldn't understand why Sony would want to use OSX, especially not since the whole web is abuzz with stories about how the PS3 is going to cost more than you would get for selling an eye and a kidney while mr. Jobs is not inclined to license OSx free of charge.
