Is the bluepod coming?

AnyCom Bluetooth Stereo - Bluepod spiler?

This product pre-anouncement seems to be a spoiler for an Ipod add-on I atleast haven't heard of. If you check out the second paragraphy you will see that:

"For the I-Pod an additional Bluetooth adapter will be offered soon"

It looks like someone's finally gotten roud to realising the bluepod. Cool.

Talking of Bluetooth, Ars Technica is reporting on Bluetooth being upgraded to UWB* thus enabling Bluetooth to handle even greater bandwidths. This means that you'll be able to throw even more data over Bluetooth. I don't see this as signalling Bluetooth's entrance into networking, rather as insuring that contactless proximity data transfer (like throwing a 2+ MP from a camera to a printer) becomes a lot easier. Infosync has a similar pointer to the Bluetooth SIG announcement.

*UWB = Ultra WideBand

Orion Multisystems: DS-96 Specifications

the Orion Multisystems: DS-96 is a potent beast, a 96 processor animal running Linux and squarely aimed at the most processor intensive tasks out there. Basically, the machine's a normal Linux cluster. the main difference here is that rather than having to deal with 96 boxes which need to be wired together, you get one machine containing the 96. Plug the puppy into a wall socket and you're running more processing power than can be legally exported to most countries in the world.
