infoSync World : Preview: Nokia N91

The Nokia N91 is going to be my next phone. There now is no doubt about it. You can jump to Infosync or the Nokia N series splash site and read up on the specs. The thing has a camera (2 megapixels), it has a 4 GB HDD, it plays music, does tri-band GSM, bluetooth and 3G. But... it also does WiFi. Not only does the puppy do the 802.11b protocol - noooo... the Finns have gone off and added 802.11g (speeds upto 54 mbps).

Now why is this even remotely interesting? For some of you this might be cool because of the fact that you can grab music off of a central home server and download it over the air to your mobile (okay, Nokia and the network operators expect you to do this over 3G). For me, WiFi in a candybar handset means that when the Skype boys finally come around and release Skype for Symbian we will be able to ditch our home phones and start using just the one machine as the main interface to a variety of networks. I can't wait.
